The Anganwadi Project
Story
Hi there,
I've joined The Anganwadi Project and will be part of a team that is designing & project managing the construction of a preschool in the Tekro slum in Ahmedabad, India. You can easily support the project by making a secure donation.
Your donated money will go towards construction materials & local site labour. I am self-funding my travel expenses and will be working pro bono. I've set up a fundraising page through gofundraise.com.au which is linked to a hiking trek that the directors of the Anganwadi project have organised for late November 2014 with all money going towards preschool #13. The budget for the construction of the preschool is approximately $6000, so your contributions will go a long way to providing a beautiful space where kids can begin their education, get access to health checks, daily lunch and encourage their enrolment in school. The program is well established, with the education being run by local teachers and Australian architects providing skills and funding to make the buildings.

The Anganwadi Project is looking for your support to continue building pre-schools in disadvantaged areas of India.
TAP designs and builds anganwadi (preschools) within the informal settlements of Ahmedabad, Gujarat and rural areas of Andhra Pradesh alongside our local partners and communities.
These small buildings make an enormous difference by giving young children the best possible start in life through a beautiful, well-designed and built, safe space to receive an education and good nutrition.
The Anganwadi Project relies solely on the generosity of donations from our supporters and sponsors. Please help us continue our work by making a donation to the project. All donations are tax deductible in Australia.
